Ingredients :
- Thick Sev : 1 cup
- Onion (finely chopped): 1/2 cup
- Tomato (finely chopped) : 1/4 cup
- Garlic : 2 cloves
- Bay leaf : 1
- Red chilly powder : 2-3 tsp
- Turmeric : 1/4 tsp
- Coriander powder : 1 tsp
- Oil : 11/2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Mustard seeds and cumin seeds for seasoning
- Cilantro to garnish
- Heat oil in a wok. Once hot, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add bay leaf, a minute later add onions and cook till translucent. Add garlic paste and mix.
- Now add tomatoes and cook till mushy. Add red chilly powder, turmeric and coriander powder and mix well.
- Add water to make a thin gravy and bring to a boil. Add salt (sev is salty so add accordingly)
- After its boiled for 5-7 min, add sev to it, stir for a while and switch off the flame.
- Garnish with cilantro and serve instantly.
