Ingredients :
- Besan (gram flour) : 1 cup
- Onions : 3/4 cup
- Garlic : 1 tsp
- Chillies : 3-4 (as per required hotness)
- Red chilly powder : 1 tsp
- Turmeric : 1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Mustard seeds for tempering
- Oil : 1 tbsp
- Heat oil in a pan. Once hot add mustard seeds and allow them to splutter.
- Add chopped onions and sauté till translucent. Crush garlic and chillies together and add this paste to the onions. Cook for 2 min. Add turmeric and red chilly powder.
- Now, in a bowl take besan and dilute it with water. Its consistency should be pouring thin. Add salt. Pour this mixture into the pan. Stir continuously.
- Cover it and cook for 5-7 minutes. You may add water if it becomes too thick.
- Besan is ready! Serve hot with rice, roti or bhakri, with onions on the side!
