Garlic Bread

Garlic Bread is one of the most popular item in Italian cuisine..Works great on the side with Pasta, Spaghetti, Soups or even just like that!!

Ingredients: 
  • French (or Italian)
    bread loaf : 1
  • Salted butter : 2 tbsp
  • Garlic (coarsely crushed) :
    4-5 cloves
  • Oregano : a pinch


Method :







  • Melt butter in a pan on low to medium heat. Add coarsely crushed garlic and mix.
  • Cook for 2min, dont let the garlic colour. Add a pinch of dried oregano, stir for a while and take it off the flame. Keep aside.
  • Slice the bread to around 1cm thick slices. Spread the mixture over it with a brush or a butter knife on one side.
  • Place on a baking tray and toast in an oven @ 350 degree F for 5 min or till golden brown.
  • Serve hot!!

VARIATION : If bread loaf is unavailable, normal bread slices can be used. To make Cheese Garlic bread or Chilly Garlic bread, cheese or chilles can be added as a topping respectively, before toasting...
